Are You an Outlaw? Meet Bluford Duck

Who has redefined what it means to think outside of the law (AKA Outlaw) and is helping each of us in the process?

Meet Bluford Duck, the OG Outlaw and resident mascot here at Society 54. Bluford, the enigmatic and dapper mallard of the legal industry, is more than just our mascot — he's a legend in his own right. Bluford's early days were spent honing his cunning wit and charm, traits that would serve him well in his dual life as a mascot and an Outlaw.

With his signature mustache that glints with mischief, Bluford rose to fame thanks to the relation to his great-great-step-uncle Old West Outlaw, Blue Duck, and for the past (almost) decade has served as the handsome face of Society 54.

When he is not coming up with creative new ways to revolutionize our industry or plotting his next big mischievous rendezvous, Bluford can be found basking in the pool, water skiing or snorkeling.

Enjoy getting to know the OG Outlaw, Bluford Duck!

Q: What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
A: The lowest depth of misery, friends, is feeling trapped without hope or purpose. To be confined to a life devoid of adventure, creativity, or the thrill of chasing dreams — now that's a fate worse than being stuck in a pond without breadcrumbs.

Q: Where would you like to live?
A: Ah, I've often dreamt of a cozy hideaway nestled among the reeds and rushes of a tranquil marsh. Somewhere with just enough mystery to keep the world at bay, yet close enough to the buzzing currents of legal excitement.

Q: What is your idea of happiness?
A: Happiness? Why, it's the sweet symphony of a successful venture, the laughter of comrades after a daring escapade, and the satisfaction of outsmarting the smug.

Q: Who is your real-life hero?
A: My real-life hero? That would be Howard Quack, the rogue entrepreneur who dared to defy the corporate establishment and built an empire from scratch. A true visionary who taught me that sometimes, bending the rules can lead to greatness. And also, the Mighty Ducks.

Q: What is your motto?
A: "Quack loud, quack proud." Life's too short for subtlety, my friends. If you've got something to say or something to do, do it with flair and leave 'em quacking in admiration.

Q: What is your greatest fear?
A: My greatest fear? Losing my wit and charm, I suppose. Oh, and being grounded — can't have this duck tethered to one place for too long! Perks of remote working.

Q: To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
A: Indulgent faults? Well, I do have a soft spot for gadgets and gizmos that make my rendezvous a tad more techy. And perhaps I may indulge in a bit too much quacking during negotiations.

Q: Finish this sentence: “If I could have one super-power, it would be...”
A: If I could have one super-power, it would be the ability to read minds. Imagine the professional advantages and the intrigue it would bring to my escapades!

Q: Who are your favorite authors or what are your favorite books?
A: I find myself drawn to tales of cunning and strategy. Stories by Sun Tzu and Machiavelli have a certain allure, as do The Adventures of Robin Hood.

Q: If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
A: I'd share a meal with Leonardo da Vinci. A fellow mastermind of his time, he had a knack for blending art with science and adventure — qualities I find quite inspiring.

Q: What got you into working in the legal industry?
A: Ah, the legal industry found me, my friends. When you're as adept at navigating exciting adventures and crafting daring schemes as I am, it's only natural to dabble in the art of legalities. It’s an Outlaw thing.

Q: Your favorite musician or band?
A: I've got a soft spot for the smooth tunes of Quack Sinatra and the jazz stylings of Duck Ellington. Music that sets the mood for a midnight caper, ya know?

Q: What is your current state of mind?
A: My mind? It's swirling with plans, big ideas, and the next daring adventure. Always on the move, always thinking ten steps (or flaps) ahead.

Q: Your favorite virtue?
A: Resourcefulness. A duck's gotta make do with what he's got, whether it's a quill or a quirk.

Q: What would you consider your greatest achievement?
A: My greatest achievement? Why, convincing the world that a duck can be both a beloved mascot and a daring Outlaw, of course!

Q: Finish this sentence: “If I won the lottery tomorrow I would...”
A: If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would build the ultimate secret headquarters — complete with gadgets, a duck-sized Batmobile (Birdmobile?), and a hidden stash of breadcrumbs.

Q: Who would you have liked to be?
A: Why, I'm quite content being Bluford Duck, the dashing duck of dual destinies — legal mogul by day, Outlaw extraordinaire by night!
