Are you an Outlaw? Meet Seema Maglio
Affiliated Consultant Seema Maglio crafts high-impact marketing content that provides a competitive edge. Seema writes content for boutique, midsize and global AmLaw 100 firms. All of her content is American Bar Association (ABA) compliant.
Seema’s approach is equal parts art and science. A nerd at heart, she leverages data to pinpoint the key differentiators that set your firm and lawyers apart from everyone else. She then employs exceptional writing skills to craft a persuasive and engaging narrative around that.
With two decades of experience working in-house in law firm business development, Seema understands the challenges of developing impactful content in matrixed environments and under resource constraints – and knows how to deliver results. Most recently, she spent a decade at Cooley, one of the largest law firms in the world, where she was the head of marketing and business development for the global IP practices and industries. She holds a BBA in marketing and an MBA in business strategy.
Seema resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband Johnny, their seven-year-old daughter Siena, and their three-year-old cavapoo named Teddy. When she’s not working, you will find the native New Yorker doing very important research - tracking down the best pizza and bagels in Charlotte. She is also a regular customer at her daughter’s beauty salon – conveniently located in the playroom – where she gets treated to a VIP makeover after a hard week of work.
What is your idea of happiness? Waking up each morning to freshly brewed coffee (thanks to my husband, John), setting aside daily time for meditation and nature walks, and running errands as a family (Target is my daughter’s happy place)
Who is your real-life hero? My parents. They came to New York City from India in pursuit of the American dream. For many years, our family lived below the poverty line. My childhood wasn’t easy, but my parents consistently modeled integrity and resilience, and they taught me the value of hard work - lessons that have shaped me into the person I am today.
Who are your favorite authors or what are your favorite books? I love books that explore spirituality, everyday miracles, and their relationship to quantum physics. I’m fascinated by this branch of science and what it reveals about the magic of the universe and the energetic connection we all share.
If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why? Lucille Ball. Not only was she a talented performer, she was a brilliant businesswoman. In the 1950s, she made a multimillion-dollar deal with CBS where she retained 100% ownership of I Love Lucy (my favorite show). That was unheard of at the time! I would love to pick her brain about her career and her life.
What is your current state of mind? Gratitude.
Your favorite virtue? Integrity
What would you consider your greatest achievement? Our daughter, Siena.

Finish this sentence: “If I could have one super-power, it would be...” Talking to animals. I’d love to know what goes on inside my cavapoo Teddy’s brain – I suspect most of her thoughts revolve around food. I also encounter a variety of animals during my nature walks. It would be amazing to have a conversation with them and learn more about their world.
