Staying Motivated

In our years of coaching, we have found that one of the most challenging aspects of coaching is inspiring individuals to take action. While we can plan, encourage, and follow up, the ultimate step - taking action - rests with the coachee. So how do you stay motivated to do what you committed to doing?

  • Review your goals often. By repeatedly referring back to your self-identified goals, you’ll remember why all of the smaller BD activities matter.

  • Reach out to your coach. If you’re consistently falling behind on your due dates, snoozing reminders, and feeling a general lack of motivation, let us know! We can talk through some potential roadblocks and ways around them.

  • Make it fun. We gamify things when and where we can because we have learned that individuals are often motivated by a bit of friendly competition. Whether it’s with your colleagues or trying to improve on your own past accomplishments, motivate and encourage yourself with a fun approach to activity and goal completion.
