Enjoy getting to know this Outlaw!

Q: Who is your real-life hero?
A: My real-life hero is my dad. He is warm, kind, conscientious, and the most generous person I know with his time and talents – to his family and the various communities he is a part of, including our legal marketing community. He made the introductions that started my career and has been the Chairman of my personal board of directors since. He is also the only person who can figure out what word I’m thinking of when I’m stuck.

Q: What is your motto?
A: My motto is “Don’t spend your time where you can’t impact positive change.” If you can’t make or influence the change you would like to see – personally or professionally – wouldn’t it be more productive to spend your time where you can make a difference? I do have to say, though, that I am adamantly opposed to all home goods and clothing items with mottos on them. There is no need for bossy dish towels… “Live each day to the fullest.” YOU live each day to the fullest. I’ll sit here watching The Great on Hulu all afternoon if I want to!

Q: To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
A: It is said that each person has a specific capacity for making great decisions every day. While I try to limit unnecessary decision-making by doing simple things like having a capsule wardrobe and routine-oriented mornings, by dinnertime I allow myself to NOT make decisions. If I haven’t planned anything to cook and we’re not meeting with friends, I always tell my husband, “It’s on you. I simply cannot make this decision today. I’m out of power.” Then he gets to make the hard choices.

Q: Finish this sentence: “If I could have one superpower, it would be…”
A: Definitely changing the weather. Just think! You could solve world hunger, natural disasters, and also have a perfect weather day every time you go to the beach.

Q: Finish this sentence: “If I won the lottery tomorrow I would…”
A: Get on a boat. Really, that’s as far as I’ve planned – but it seems solid.
