Q: With what firm or company do you work?
A: LIMELIGHT
Q: What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
A: The inability to pivot, get there, or leave.
Q: Where would you like to live?
A: Ideally, I'd split my time between New York, Jackson Wyoming, and New Orleans. That said, the way things are going today... you may find me living in Sardinia sooner than expected.
Q: What is your idea of happiness?
A: Freedom of choice, movement, and undying positivity that invites innovation, change, and my never-ending pursuit for the not boring. This also involves a heavy course of live music, dancing, skiing, sunshine, and of course, meatballs and extra-cold, extra-dry martinis.
Q: Who is your real-life hero?
A: Tough question. I think I'll go with Jaques Cousteau for a number of reasons. JC, as I fondly called him, was a French naval officer, explorer, scientist, filmmaker, and conservationist who revolutionized the way we understand and protect the ocean. His curiosity, courage, and passion for discovery led him to explore uncharted waters and bring marine science to the world. He helped invent the aqua-lung, which truly revolutionized the notion of man's exploration of Earth's underwaters eventually leading to what we know today as SCUBA diving. His explorations led to countless documentaries (well, I suppose we could count them - disregard) and more importantly, brought environmental activism into the limelight. Little known fact, he also served in the French anti-Nazi Resistance during WWII in supporting intelligence operations against the Germans. Freakin' amazing and full life of purpose and adventure this man led. Needless to say, I'm still looking to develop my own inventions to fuel the second half of my adventures.
Q: What is your motto?
A: Be yourself and surrender to the flow.
Q: What is your greatest fear?
A: Earth runs out of meatballs.
Q: "If I could have one super-power it would be..."
A: I think I'd have to go with teleportation. Travel is in my blood, and the idea of not having the schlep/time factor for ultimate interplanetary movement sounds appealing!
Q: Who or what got you into working in the legal industry?
A: It was a happy accident. I come from generations of lawyers in my family, including my father, uncle, sister, cousins galore. Growing up in Washington, D.C. laid quite the foundational ground for pursuing law school, politics, and journalism -- the Beltway Trifecta. I've played them all and then some.
Q: Your favorite musician or band?
A: Currently: Goose, My Morning Jacket, Phish, Grateful Dead, and anything funky -- check out Cimafunk, Sir Woman, and Chaparelle.
