Meet Catherine Zinn, Chief Client Officer at Baker Botts. In her role, Catherine oversees a large team of professionals and various aspects of strategy, growth, sales, marketing, business intelligence and talent. Catherine has earned her reputation as a top influencer in the technology sector by advising high growth companies, connecting entrepreneurs to capital and liaising with executives from the largest companies in the world to form partnerships, consortia, advisory boards and other initiatives to drive innovation. She is an experienced C-level executive who has also worked within global tech focused firms, Orrick and DLA Piper. With 20+ years of experience doing professional services sales, Catherine is often described as a “super-connector” throughout the tech, energy, legal and financial services industries. Catherine serves as a board member and advisor to various for profit and non-profit companies, as well as an advisor and active scout for various venture funds. Her advisory roles include serving as a coach to CEOs and entrepreneurs.
Catherine has been recognized as a Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, one of the Top 50 Women Executives in San Francisco, one of the Top 100 Women in Law, and more. Additionally, Catherine served on both Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s National Finance Committees, was the National Chair of Lawyers for Obama, and served on Kamala Harris’s various Finance Committees, including as a Founding Member of the team assembled for her 2020 Presidential bid.
