Are You an Outlaw? Meet Patrick Fuller

Who has redefined what it means to think outside the law (aka OUTLAW) and is helping each of us in the process? Meet Patrick Fuller, Vice President of Legal at ALM Intelligence. We asked him a few questions that he was gracious enough to answer for us. Enjoy getting to know this Outlaw!

Q: What is your idea of happiness? A: Making people laugh, by far. That’s just the greatest feeling.

Q: Where would you like to live? A: Somewhere with no earthquakes, tornadoes, or poisonous snakes. So...Vermont, Montreal, or Dublin.

Q: What is your motto? A: 1. No one went to college to get smarter. 2. See what everyone else sees, and think what no one else has thought.

Q: Always paying attention or do you daydream? A: I daydream about paying attention.

Q: What is your greatest fear? A: Disappointing anyone who relies on me for anything.

Q: Finish this sentence, If I could have one super-power, it would be... A: That’s a good question. I’m still trying to figure out what Aquaman’s usefulness was. Seriously – how many crimes were created underwater?

Q: Who are your favorite authors/what are your favorite books? A: John Sandford, Michael Connolly, John Grisham, David Balducci, Lee Child...and books? Blue Ocean Strategy; Reading People; Playing To Win; Practically Radical; Competitive Strategy; Competitive Advantage; Drive; To Sell is Human; The Essential Drucker; The Heart of Change; Yes, And...; Thinking, Fast and Slow – to name a few.

Q: If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why? A: Aside from any family member, Chris Farley.

Q: What got you into working in the legal industry? A: Community service, obviously.

Q: Your favorite musician/band? A: I have over 100GB of music, and haven’t really bought anything new in the last year or two, thanks to Spotify. I’m a fan of all genres and numerous artists, but a few at the top of the list are Rush, The Mighty Might Bosstones, Bruce Springsteen, The Cowboy Junkies, Foo Fighters, U2, Van Morrison, Umphrey’s McGee, The Doors, The Offspring, and Diana Krall. Any 80’s and 90’s alternative new wave and modern rock, as well.

Q: Your favorite virtue? A: There is no substitute for the high road.

Q: What would you consider your greatest achievement? A: Being there for my family.

Q: Who is your real life hero? A: My grandfather, for whom my oldest son is named.

Q: Finish this sentence- if I won the lottery tomorrow I would... A: Keep working, and not tell a damn soul.
