Pitch + Proposal Evaluation and Planning

Take a look at all of the pitches and proposals you have taken part in last year. Place each pitch/proposal in one of three categories: those you knew you had a really good shot at getting, those you submitted knowing you did not meet the qualifications, and those you submitted only because you knew your competitors would be taking part. And then note whether or not you won the work. Be honest as you do this exercise. Take a look at your columns, and consider why any fall in the latter two categories.

Create a plan for 2022 regarding how you will evaluate future “opportunities.” Are there better and more productive ways to spend your time? Perhaps reaching out directly to two top clients and/or three dormant clients.
