Timely Responses Make a Difference
Communication, particularly quick and timely communication, can make all the difference to your client and their business.
In a previous ClientSPEAK interview, Scott Mansfield, Vice President of Chicago Title Insurance Company, offered responsiveness as advice to junior associates. "When we hire counsel we need to get someone engaged and move on, so if we don't hear back very quickly we are likely to go to the next name on the list."
This is great advice not only for the junior associates he was speaking of, but also to each of us who have clients (both internally and externally) to serve. Respond, even if it's just to acknowledge their request and to let them know you will be back in touch soon.
