Internal Networking
We all know that talking to clients about what you can do for them, showcasing your knowledge through writing and speaking, and getting out of the office to network are all important parts of business development - but are you missing out on the people who surround you every day?
If you haven't already made a habit of it, get out of your office during the day and talk to your colleagues. What are they working on? Who are their biggest clients? What can you do together to increase your work as well as the success of the client? Your colleagues are some of the best people to network with - they are close by and have just as much to gain as you do.
You don't even have to spend the time or money to take them to lunch! However, I don't think it ever hurt...
