Q: Who is your real-life hero?
A: Like most, my mom! She always found a way to do it all while working full time. I hope I can mimic the same while being a great mom to my two kids.
Q: What is your motto?
A: Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Q: What is your greatest fear?
A: Being pigeonholed in any aspect of legal marketing or life.
Q: What got you working in the legal industry?
A: I was fortunate to be in the “second wave” of legal marketers, following our expertise being adopted as a role in-house at regional law firms. I started as a Legal Assistant who was always willing to attend the trade shows, then eventually started scoping out opportunities to further business development, including identifying new professional associations and securing speaking engagements for our attorneys. This was the ‘fun part’ of my legal assistant role, and I am lucky it evolved into a full-time job and career for me. Looking back, I am glad I have the experience in working with attorneys so closely. It has afforded me a unique perspective in how marketing connects with our talent, and understanding the pressures they face and how we can better serve them.
