We asked Sheenika a few questions, and her answers can be found below. Enjoy getting to know this Outlaw!

Q: What is your motto?
A: My favorite quote and motto I live by is: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it," written by Paulo Coelho.

Q: Finish this sentence: “If I could have one superpower, it would be…”
A: …to move fast, like Flash. I love the thought of being able to speed read and absorb knowledge, but also be able to wake up, get ready, grab coffee, and get to work all within minutes. Talk about being productive!

Q: What got you into working in the legal industry?
A: After graduating law school, I was looking for an opportunity to either practice law or a career where my legal degree would be useful. I came across an opening at an AmLaw 200 firm based in Orange County for a Business Development Website Coordinator. My interest peaked because it combined my law and business degrees with my interest in technology. Since then, I haven’t looked back!

Q: Your favorite musician or band?
A: Too hard to pick one! My favorites right now are Vidya Vox, Jonas Brothers, and Beyonce. In general, I listen to a lot of Bollywood music.

Q: What is your current state of mind?
A: My current state of mind is tired, yet excited about the world opening up. My husband and I just bought our first home together and it’s been tiring (but also exciting!) to make sure everything looks great. On the flip side, we recently renewed our Global Entry pass, so we’ve been talking about travel again, which is positive. Hoping a trip to South America is in our cards this year!

Q: What would you consider your greatest achievement?
A: My greatest achievement was having the courage to pursue a non-traditional career. When I graduated law school, I placed a lot of pressure on myself that I wasn’t successful because I hadn’t practiced law. I’m proud that I worked hard to get to a Director level within 5 years of being in legal marketing. This year marks 10 years since I graduated law school, and I’m grateful I’m in a career that’s fulfilling and at a firm that values my role.
